Dead Girl's Guide to Style (Hadley Wilds, #1)Dead Girl's Guide to Style by Rose Pressey

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I adore Rose and I've read all her books. I wanted to like this book more than what I did. The characters were great, but the plot was shifty and the writing was very choppy. I feel bad having to say it, but it wasn't one of my favorite books. My opinion is just one in a sea of many.

I'm a loyal fan, but I always like to be honest in my reviews. Check out Rose's other books, they're wonderful!

When the Leaves Stop FallingWhen the Leaves Stop Falling by Kelly Moran

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this book. After being on a paranormal reading binge, this book was refreshing!

Serena Edwards has received a terminal diagnosis for a heart condition that she suffered with since birth. As a result of the devastating news, she decided to head back to her gram, brother, and estranged love of her life. En-route to her destination, she stops off at a diner and gets more than she bargained for.

Courtney Morgan, near death, was rescued from the side of the road after running away from a horrid life. Courtney has an amazing gift that she tries to keep hidden. Courtney and Serena are paired together for the road trip South. Courtney and Serena become friends and a great bond grows.

Once home, Serena must mend fences with Jake and tell him the news of her terminal illness. Meanwhile, Serena's brother Austin is smitten with the timid and broken Courtney.

4 lives intertwine to create a brilliant romance and road to healing. I laughed. I cried. The story comes full circle and your left feeling warmth in you heart when the leaves stop falling.

Seek And Destroy (Nassd Counter-Terrorist Agency #2)Seek And Destroy by Allie K. Adams

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of Seek and Destroy (TREX) for a honest review. I can say I am so glad Allie allowed me to be introduced into the spec ops world! I am a huge fan of Allie as a result of being taken hostage by her awesome books!

Special Ops agent David Snyder is gravely injured on a mission and is given the option to transfer into another, less engaging section of TREX. Beautiful, intelligent, take no nonsense, Charis McCoy is sent in to make the transition appealing and effortless.

David is having none of it and decides since he cant be active in the field, it's no longer an option to be a member of the team. He promptly disappears of the TREX radar.

A new cyber terrorist threat makes finding David and bringing him back into the fold a crucial mission for the attractive Charis. Drawn to one another, they work together to hunt and acertain the threat.

Mutual attraction turn the mission into a smexy fun time!

The plot is engaging and hooks you from the start! Allie's characters are likable and spunky! The hunk o' factor of TREX agents introduced makes you want to sign up for many missions or volunteer for a thorough de-briefing!

I've got all the other books awaiting to be read!

Retribution (Chronicles of the Irin, #1)Retribution by T.G. Ayer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of the book for an honest review. The cover is stunning and sets it apart!

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down, until I was finished. The plot is very interesting and complex. The characters are bold and each has their own contribution to make the story flow and progress.

Evangeline (Evie) is a very head strong Nephilim who does not take the change of leadership well. She is supremely suspicious of Marcellus, the new Irin Master. Patrick, the former Master, is afflicted with an unusual, incurable illness that has him room bound and weak. Evie discovers her mentor and father figure has been murdered by the new leader of the Irin.

Evangeline and some of her friends start to suspect something sinister is taking place as a result of the command to bring back items that Demons had on their person. Metal discs are being collected and Evie discovers they are the Seals of Hades.

Evangeline is soon embroiled in an evil plot to take over Hell by her Irin Master. By working with unlikely demon allies, Evie makes a dangerous trek to the underworld to return the metal seals to Hades. What she gets in return is undeniably unexpected.

I can't wait for the next book in the series to see how Evangeline escapes her current fate and to see whether or not she falls for the current Head of Hell.
