Bookworm

Many of us lucky individuals received e-book readers for Christmas or as a gift last year for another occasion. I personally have a Kindle 2 and a nookcolor. Both are very functional e-readers and I still use both. I do however tend to favor the nookcolor now because it has a backlight and I can access the web a lot easier than I can with the Kindle.

I love to read and have read more than 1,000 books in 2010. I can read a 275 page book in a matter of hours. My children constantly complain about the fact that I read to much or all I do is read. It's my escape, my sanctuary so to speak, I love it and enjoy being able to transport myself into the story.

My favorite blog when it comes to reading recommended books is http://www.strangecandyreviews.blogspot.com

Make sure to check out the site. There are several reviews and interviews with authors. The site is the one I go to so I can find other books by authors I am not familiar with, but write in the same genre or another I might be interested in. Jo-Anne who owns the site is an amazing person who loves to read! She lives in Perth, Australia and enjoys interacting on Facebook too! Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed.

Feel free to leave any comments or recommendations! Have a good one!

Lions, Tigers, and Birds Falling from the Sky

Well I'm sure you have seen the news reports about the mystery surrounding the 5,000 black birds that fell from the sky. They have speculated anything from hail and lightning to toxic air. Now we are informed that 125 miles to the West, 100,000 one species of fish have turned up dead along the banks of the Arkansas. Is it finally a biological attack? Who knows. While we are going on with our daily lives, I bet someone in Washington is trying to decide whether or not to tell us just what is going on. I'm sure they will cover up the actual truth with the reasoning of not wanting to cause a mass panic. It makes me wonder just how much we are allowed to know. After watching movies like 2012, The Day after Tomorrow, and so on, it leaves you wondering who will survive. Surely those with money and power of course. Well I guess I can use the fact that I won't be allowed on the Ark to remain intact with all my vices and just let the wave swallow me up, or I can get off my arse and get healthy and contribute something to society. Who knows, my blog may end up on Air Force One.....

New Year New You...Right?

More than one post a day, is it too much? Why is it at the beginning of the year we all have to find something we must change, start, or do? Why not in the middle or at the end? Typically the new year means to begin again, thus we start over with January first, but tack on another year. How many of you have made resolutions? Come on show your hands, me too. I don't know why I do, every year it's pretty much the same, lose weight, keep a budget, be a better person, blah blah blah. I keep mine for a few days, a  month maybe, two is stretching it. I think we should make un-resolutions. I resolute not to make any resolutions. Instead I am going to try and take one day, one step at a time. I don't want to diet, I want to be healthier. I don't want to quit shopping, I want to spend wiser, and so on.

Are you following me? I hope so. I am going to start putting together some information and share it with you. You can then read it or chose not to. The web is bombarded with information about everything, and I mean everything. I'll just do a compilation and post it. If you have ideas, thoughts, questions, comments, rants, whatever....post it! We can each start our own "Personal Revolution"! I meant what I put, it is not a typo, I didn't mean resolution, I meant what I put, Revolution. Revolt against all the things that you personally want to about yourself, the way you live, the way you view the world, so forth and so on. I'm not saying revolt against anyone or anybody, foreign or domestic...this is personal. Personal, meaning your person.

So who's with me, sound off!

New Year 2011

As you can see I tried this once before. A lot has happened in last year, I'll take you along for the ride! Buckle up Buttercup!!

Well I ran across this page in the Google search engine. It is part of my New Year's resolution to do something different. I want to share and want you to share in return. If we help each other and it spreads like a epidemic disease then maybe more people will benefit from it!

Many of us feel we are "Just Another Face'. A person who falls within several categories. not famous, maybe overweight, has health issues, ect. We don't feel we have a voice or an outlet. Well I'm hoping that with this website, that can change.

I'm not just another blogger, I'm not searching for fame or trying to sell you something you don't need. I'm an average person. I have bills, and issues just like you. I shop at some similar store, wear similar clothing, and have similar family problems, and just plain feel trapped sometimes within a never ending merry-go-round that I want to get off on or at least learn how to have fun while riding.

So stay tuned to this blog and please comment, good or bad, it's your choice.
